Lakeport Man Arrested in Pharmacy Robbery

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Lake­port man on sus­pi­cion of com­mit­ting an armed rob­bery at a phar­macy yes­ter­day morn­ing. Craig Anthony Lent, 25, has been arrested for the rob­bery. A lit­tle after 9 a.m., a man entered North Lake Med­ical Phar­macy, which is located at 5136 Hill Road East in Lake­port. Lent, who was wear­ing a mask or ban­danna, walked behind the phar­macy counter, grabbed the phar­ma­cist, placed the knife to the pharmacist’s throat and demanded a nar­cotic pre­scribed for pain relief. After obtain­ing the med­ica­tion, he fled on foot, run­ning east­bound towards Sut­ter Lake­side Hos­pi­tal. where he was detained. The hos­pi­tal and sur­round­ing busi­nesses were placed on lock­down dur­ing and after the robbery.The Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and Cal­i­for­nia High­way Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene. Lent was located on Ter­race Avenue with pre­scrip­tion pill bot­tles taken from the phar­macy. He was arrested for armed rob­bery, bur­glary, pos­ses­sion of stolen prop­erty and bran­dish­ing a dan­ger­ous weapon. He was trans­ported to the Lake County Hill Road Cor­rec­tional Facil­ity and booked.
