Lake County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Lakeport man on suspicion of committing an armed robbery at a pharmacy yesterday morning. Craig Anthony Lent, 25, has been arrested for the robbery. A little after 9 a.m., a man entered North Lake Medical Pharmacy, which is located at 5136 Hill Road East in Lakeport. Lent, who was wearing a mask or bandanna, walked behind the pharmacy counter, grabbed the pharmacist, placed the knife to the pharmacist’s throat and demanded a narcotic prescribed for pain relief. After obtaining the medication, he fled on foot, running eastbound towards Sutter Lakeside Hospital. where he was detained. The hospital and surrounding businesses were placed on lockdown during and after the robbery.The Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene. Lent was located on Terrace Avenue with prescription pill bottles taken from the pharmacy. He was arrested for armed robbery, burglary, possession of stolen property and brandishing a dangerous weapon. He was transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked.
