A trial date was set this week for a man accused of attempted murder or a Clearlake police officer in September. According to a statement released by the Clearlake Police Department, Daniel York was pulled over for a traffic stop at about 4:30 a.m. on Lakeshore Drive near Redbud Park. He allegedly pinned a CPD officer with his SUV against a pickup truck with enough force that the truck moved a few feet. York was charged with attempted murder of a peace officer, felony hit-and-run resulting in injury, assault with a deadly weapon not a firearm and avoiding a peace officer causing serious injury. A trial date for the case was set for July 2nd.
