CLHS Decathalon Team Prepares to Compete

The Clear Lake High School Academic Decathlon team is preparing to compete against 37 other counties in the state championship at the California Academic Decathlon competition. They’ll compete in Sacramento tomorrow through Sunday. Clear Lake High’s team won the county championship on Feb. 2, winning by more than 3,000 points. Plus, the team brought home 46 medals from the county competition. Team members compete in disciplines including speech, interview, essay, science, economics, music, mathematics, social science, arts, and language and literature. The theme for the state championship is World War I. Clear Lake High will compete in Division III at the event.
