Miller Sentenced to 183 Years

A Ukiah man who attempted to kill a Men­do­cino County Sheriff’s deputy has been sen­tenced to 183 years to life in prison. A Men­do­cino County Supe­rior Court Judge issued the sen­tenc­ing to Wal­ter Miller yes­ter­day. Miller, was con­victed of attempt­ing to shoot Deputy Dar­ren Brew­ster on Feb. 25, 2013. Miller and Christo­pher Skaggs were in a chase when Miller leaned out of the win­dow fir­ing sev­eral shot at Brewster’s patrol car.
