What Happens if Referendum Approved

A Lake County group who is against the marijuana ordinance passed by the Board of Supervisors showed up with the signatures needed to stop it from going into effect. The Community Alliance to Ban Illegal Cannabis Cultivation gathered 4,222 signatures, and 2,115 of them must be verified for their referendum to be approved. Once approved one of two things will happen: the Board of Supervisors will repeal the ordinance, or put it on the June ballot. CABICC says they want to propose their own ordinance in November.
