Residents Asked to Call Mendocino Co Drought Hot Line

Mendocino County is asking residents to call the county’s new drought hotline to help officials decide what kind of aid to request from the state. This week, Mendocino County became the first in the state to request drought assistance, citing an imminent threat of disaster. The county also declared a local state of emergency declaration. Lake County residents have been asked to conserve water, and just yesterday, the Willits City Council declared a Phase V Water Shortage Emergency, due to drought conditions.
